It's gorgeous! I didn't expect it to be operated after that restore. Hopefully people treat it respectfully but I guess that the pins have been fine, all of this time. Maybe just cabinet fade is the only other concern, if the windows aren't tinted. Looking forward to seeing it.

Great video. I had this when I was a kid in the 60's. It was fantastic. It's such a simple idea, yet I've seen nothing else like it since. Anki overdrive is probably the most comparable, but it's a different type of game using modern technology. Bandit chase was purely mechanical and battery-operated. It worked brilliantly. Happy times

Killer Instinct is one game I can crush people on. I spent a lot of time as a kid learning all the combo systems and if your playing me your gonna need a few yrs practice . Great video

As much as I love Kevin’s pinball restorations, that Killer Instinct restoration was the nicest Arcade one I’ve ever seen. Amazing. I’m working on a RS myself. I look forward to see what he does with it.

Buddy, if you have a socketed chip, just change it and see if that fixes it! If no change, you know it's NOT the chip. That said, you gave us a good lesson with the logic probe 😏

🤣 Logic Probe : probe should bleep and show high and low pulse.if the chip was OK. Easy 🤣

I've been needing to learn to diagnose boards. Thanks for the encouragement. It may be time to buy a logic probe. As an OG Shenanigander, I love seeing the channel grow. If channels like Hardy can hit 10k, yours should be at 20k by now. Keep up the shenanigans Brother!

Might be a dumb question but I will ask it anyway.. does the speed of the beeps on the logic tester mean anything different? I noticed a difference in the tempo of the beeps between pin 17 and 18...andvwas wondering if that might have been the sign it was bad.. I haven't used a logic probe before so I have no idea.. but did notice that difference

Hi Mike! Great video, I'm just getting into fixing up machines as well, have a Flash that's not booting. Used your repinning vid as a guide to touch up a few. This logic probe one will likely come in handy if I get to that stage. Hires/Hi-Res or Root Beer mode ;) I love the color DMD in my TZ - glad I got it back when it was $500 as well.

One of my all-time favorites.

The metal rods under the flippers are to keep the ball from bouncing back into play once drained. This game is def. in my top five.❤❤❤
